The After Effects

Nowadays, people are acting strange around me. I don’t know if it is the swine flu effect but I do intent to find it out.

Already the swine flu effect is showing on people as they walk around wearing masks, men tying a handkerchief covering up their nose and women holding one end of the dupatta on their faces while crossing the road. Yes there a few brave people like me who walk down the streets like everything is normal (I do wash my hands though, thanks to all the information that everyone is spreading about maintaining hygiene).

People give me disgusting looks, keep staring at me and talk under their lips or choose to stand away from me when I am standing in a queue.

The first time it happened, I immediately checked my fly thinking it might be open, but it was not. The second time I went to the public toilet twice to check in the mirror if there was something on my face that was evoking such a behavior. All I could see was my reflection.

I did realize one thing that such reactions would happen when I came in close contact with people. It's not like I have cold or I sneeze around, drops dripping from my nose to make myself a threat to them.

I even had my body odour checked by my friends (yes, it was a surprise testing). They gave me an O.K. stamp. Of course I made that out when they fall to the ground unconscious but others who come in close contact with me seem to have a stronger resistance.

Yes, they do tend to cover up their faces with anything they can get their hands or best they run away from me. No I don’t nuke them with the gases that my digestive system releases. The gases that are released have not reached to the nuclear capability to make other nauseous. Bad breath again is not a problem, coz all this happens with my lips sealed.

It’s the strangers who act weird while my family and friends don’t find anything wrong with me. Nor did I saw them maintaining any distance from me. I guess then it should be the problem of the strangers and not me.

I will find it out sooner or later...

Anyways, I have subscribed to a number of SMS alerts which keeps coming in throughout the day.

BTW, have you listened to my message alert? Check it out.

P.S. I came to know how the swine flu transmitted from the swine to the humans. Here is a peek.

People are scared and I guess you can’t blame them for weird behaviors.

Wah Wah! Very nice!
Didn't realize that people were so scared about catching the flu..They are not in these parts of the world. But then again, better be safe than sorry. Although I do not know how covering your face while only crossing the road might help....
